Diego uses his resourcefulness and persistence to get to the bottom of the music that flows from Singapore to Spain and Saint Lucia to South Africa… and everywhere in between. Armed with only a pocketful of languages including Spanish, French and Japanese, he travels the globe to keep tabs on the pulse of world beat music.

From guitar legend Carlos Santana to the ever-sexy Shakira, Diego has interviewed some of music’s most popular international stars. What he prides himself on most though, is discovering new artists in remote destinations and exposing them through ClipTrip.

WORK PERK
Unlike many other jobs, Diego’s has a special perk: sightseeing. “I’ve swam in the Amazon River and even trekked just 30 feet away from wild African rhinos, all on my search for the best music this world has to offer – it’s an amazing experience.”

LANDING THE JOB
In 1994, Diego beat out over 700 hopefuls in MuchMusic’s national talent search and was soon hosting his own show, ClipTrip. By 1999, this globetrotting reporter was bringing the world’s music to the nation’s living rooms from ClipTrip’s new home on MuchMoreMusic.
